Pastor, Army Chaplain, Dad, Husband. I’ve created this site to be able to share my thoughts on a variety of topics, from sports, to Christianity, to politics. Facebook and Twitter are limited and often lead to unhealthy fights, debates and personal attacks. A blog gives me the opportunity to write more in depth about topics I find interesting. What I write is my opinion and doesn’t necessarily reflect the church I serve and doesn’t speak for the Army.
I was ordained in 2001 and have served four churches. Today I am the Lead Pastor at a church plant in Palm Coast, Florida, Beachside Community Church. In addition, I’ve served as a Chaplain in the US Army since 2003 and I’m currently in the National Guard.
In addition to serving Beachside, I’m pursuing my doctorate from Bethel University in St. Paul, Minnesota. I’ve enjoyed the coursework so far, and I’m doing it in conjunction with the church plant out of a conviction that I need to continue to learn and grow.
Finally, I enjoy running and have participated in races of all sorts, but lately I’ve enjoyed team relays like the Ragnar series and locally the Oceans 50 event.
